Wrinkles
& Fine Lines.

Expression lines respond to one type of treatment; etched static lines respond to another. Our doctors classify which kind of wrinkle each area shows, then select a precise protocol — typically conservative, often combined.

Clinical overview

Dynamic versus static lines.

Wrinkles fall into two categories: dynamic wrinkles, which appear only during facial expression (smiling crow's feet, frowning glabellar lines, raised forehead lines), and static wrinkles, which are visible at rest because the skin has been creased repeatedly over decades.

Dynamic wrinkles respond well to neurotoxin injections, which reduce the muscle activity that creates them. Static wrinkles require collagen-stimulating treatments or bio-remodellers that improve the skin tissue itself.

Our doctors aim for natural-looking softening rather than the over-treated, immobile appearance that comes from heavy dosing. Conservative initial dosing and a 2-week follow-up review are standard.

Treatment options

Treatments most often used.

Neurotoxin Injection (BOTOX®)
Precise muscle relaxation softens crow's feet, glabellar (frown) lines, and forehead horizontal lines. Effect develops over 7 to 14 days.

Bio-Remodelling Injection (Profhilo®)
Hyaluronic acid bio-remodeller smooths fine lines and crepey skin texture by stimulating dermal collagen and elastin.

Polynucleotide Skin Booster (Rejuran®)
Polynucleotide injection supports cellular regeneration and dermal remodelling — often used adjunctively for fine lines.

Frequently asked

Common questions.

What's the difference between dynamic and static wrinkles?
Dynamic wrinkles appear during expression and disappear when the face is relaxed — these respond well to neurotoxin injections. Static wrinkles are visible at rest, etched into the skin over time — these require collagen-stimulating treatments, bio-remodellers, or filler-based volume restoration rather than neurotoxin alone.
How long do neurotoxin results last?
Typically 3 to 4 months for first-time patients, occasionally longer with subsequent sessions. Duration varies by injection volume, individual metabolism, target muscle activity, and treatment area. Your doctor will discuss expected duration during consultation.
Will neurotoxin make my face look frozen?
Not when administered conservatively. Our doctors aim for subtle softening of expression lines while preserving natural movement. The "frozen" appearance typically reflects over-treatment. We typically start with conservative dosing and reassess at the 2-week review.
Can I treat both dynamic and static lines at once?
Yes — combination protocols are common. Neurotoxin addresses the underlying muscle activity that creates the line, while bio-remodellers or polynucleotide injections improve the static crease. Your doctor will set the sequence and timing during planning.
