What are Skin Boosters?

Skin boosters are a category of injectable HA (hyaluronic acid) treatments that differ from traditional fillers — they are designed to hydrate and improve skin quality rather than add volume or fill lines. Brands like Juvederm Volite, Restylane Vital, and others deliver small aliquots of HA across the face using a mesotherapy or microneedling technique.

The HA attracts and retains water molecules in the dermis, creating deep, long-lasting hydration from within. The result is a dramatic improvement in skin luminosity, texture, and elasticity — the coveted "glass skin" effect.

What does it treat?

  • Dry, dehydrated skin
  • Dull, lacklustre complexion
  • Fine lines from dehydration
  • Crepey skin texture on face, neck, and hands
  • Overall skin quality and radiance

Results

Results are often visible immediately after treatment as the skin looks plumper and more luminous. Full hydration effects develop over 2–4 weeks. Results typically last 6–9 months. We recommend 2–3 initial sessions spaced 4 weeks apart, then maintenance every 6 months.

How does this differ from bio-remodelling injection? +
Both are HA-based injectable hydration treatments with different mechanisms. Bio-remodelling injection uses a high-concentration BDDE-free HA that supports tissue remodelling and collagen/elastin processes. Hydrating skin boosters use stabilised cross-linked HA that focuses on hydration and skin suppleness. Your doctor can advise which (or both) is suitable for your skin.
Is there downtime? +
Minimal. Small bumps at injection sites resolve within 24–48 hours. Some patients have mild bruising for 3–5 days. Most can return to work the next day.
